Educate Girl’s
Nelson Mandela once said that “education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” In Kuria and Maasai communities, education is not only the key to breaking the cycle of poverty- it is also the strongest tool to end female genital mutilation (FGM) and child marriage.
At HOPE for Girls @ VISA, we stand with brave girls who choose to say NO to FGM and early marriage, and walk with them on their educational journey- from primary to secondary school, and on to university. Through our scholarship program, launched during the annual safe shelter and mentorship initiative, we identify bright but vulnerable girls at the moment they need support most.
Our Impact so far
261 girls supported to transition from primary to secondary school.
18 girls supported to pursue tertiary education
8 graduates who are now giving back to their communities as role models. proving that an educated girl becomes an empowered girl.
These young women are a living proof that education transforms not only the individual lives, but the entire community.
To ensure every girl in our program thrives academically, we go beyond tuition fees. Each girl receives:
School uniforms to restore dignity & belonging.
Dignity pack so periods never disrupt education.
Revision books to support their success
Every scholarship represents more than access to school- it is a lifeline of hope, safety and opportunity. With your support, we can reach more girls, keep them safe from harmful practice and unlock a future where they can dream, achieve and lead change.
🌍 When you invest in a girl’s education, you break the cycle of FGM, child marriage, and poverty—for her, her family, and her community.
Your Gift Transforms Lives
Every contribution directly changes a girl’s future:
By investing in a girl’s education, you give her safety, dignity,
and the chance to rise as a leader in her community.
